There are optimal choices and suboptimal choices though of course.Īssuming you have a competent DM, nah. I don't think there is a minmax place for dark heresy and to be honest, optimisation isn't as extreme in Dark Heresy as something like 3.5. (I was imagining if there is something like a "Arbites handbook" somewhere, or at least a novice's guide to dark heresy) I've read the core rule book and I think I have a grasp on the basic concepts of the game, but would like more guidance. I was wondering about taking the role of a psychic, as we have none, or maybe and adeptus arbites (because they're cool, mainly). The group seems pretty set with a han solo like outcast, an adeptus mechanicus with a hand flamer and an imperial guard who uses ranged weapons. The thing is - I have pretty much zero experience with the dark heresy system, tough I have plenty with warhammer 40k lore, so I'd like your help on learning how to build characters (maybe there is a min max boards for dark heresy that you could point out to me? I google'd but found nothing.) A friend of mine is willing to DM a Dark Heresy campaign and I, as a loyal servant of the emperor, couldn't stand idly by. Hey people I wanted some help from you min maxers.
